DevTeam

Internal services used by the development teams working on the DevTeam project.

What this is

DevTeam is the set of internal services our development teams use to build and ship software. They run on infrastructure we operate ourselves, and they exist to support our own engineering work.

Today that covers source code hosting, code review, issue tracking, build and deployment automation, container images and package registries. More services are added as the teams need them.

These are internal tools, not a public or commercial product. There is no sign-up: accounts are created by administrators for members of the teams and for the automation that serves them.

Signing in with Google

Team members can sign in using their Google account instead of maintaining a separate password. When you choose that option, Google asks for your consent to share a small amount of profile information with us.

We request two scopes, both of them basic:

• email — your email address
• profile — your name, profile picture and Google account identifier

That information is used for one purpose: to recognise which existing account belongs to you. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts or any other Google service, and we cannot read them.

Signing in with Google does not create an account. If no account here is already linked to your Google identity, sign-in is refused and nothing is stored.

Who can use it

Access is limited to members of our development teams and to service accounts used by our own build automation. The services are additionally restricted at the network level: most of them are not reachable from the public internet at all.
